Italian football coach Stefano Pioli is set to take charge of Saudi Arabian giants Al-Ittihad after agreeing a three-year deal.

Italian media outlet Gazzetta dello Sport reports that. Saudi Arabian Professional League side Al-Ittihad are set to announce the appointment of Pioli. As their new head coach on a three-year contract worth a reported €18 million per year UFABET 

Al Ittihad had previously linked with a move to Fulham boss Marco Silva and Pioli were the two top options. And with the Portuguese having rejected the offer. The opportunity fell to the Italian, who will part ways with AC Milan after the end of the 2023-24 season.

Al-Ittihad are expect to unveil Pioli as their new head coach on Thursday. As they prepare for the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League season and face Inter Milan at the U-Power Stadium in Monza in a pre-season friendly in August.

For Al-Ittihad, who were the champions of the Saudi Pro League in the 2022-23 season. They failed to finish in 5th place in the 2023-24 season under the management of two coaches. Nuno Espirito Santo and Marcelo Gallardo, who were both fired.
